Marking the proclamation of 2026 as the India–France Year of Innovation, in the presence of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron, we conceived and produced a monumental video mapping project specifically designed to celebrate this symbolic milestone in the relationship between the two countries.
On the façade of the Gateway of India in Mumbai, the projection “A Shared Horizon” transformed the architecture into a dynamic narrative surface, enhancing its volumes, symmetries, and details through light, rhythm, and movement.
The monument became a living structure, capable of embracing and amplifying the message of innovation as a shared ground for dialogue between India and France.
The mapping unfolds as a visual journey intertwining nature, mathematics, and geometry as universal languages; architecture as shared knowledge; and the arts and cinema as converging cultural expressions. The composition progressively evolves toward a more intense chromatic and luminous dimension, culminating in a collective vision oriented toward the future.
The intervention is accompanied by an original sound creation composed by Dombrance, designed to engage with the architectural structure and reinforce the immersive impact of the experience, extending the projection beyond the purely visual dimension.
